The blue authentication mark enables you to identify trusted accounts for companies and individuals, which reduces the chances of falling into phishing operations, which is very common on e-mail, so Google will start displaying the blue authentication mark in Gmail next to the sender's name to confirm his identity.

The feature comes to help users know if the email they have received is from a legitimate or fraudulent source. It relies on the existing Brand Message Identification (BIMI) feature in Gmail that requires companies to certify that the brand logo they use as an email avatar will enable users to know that the logo actually belongs to them, and these companies will automatically receive a blue verification mark.

Starting from last Wednesday, Google introduced the authentication tags through its Workspace corporate service accounts and personal Google accounts, so the tags may start appearing in e-mail messages soon. Hovering over the blue verification mark displays a message (This email sender has been verified to own the domain and profile picture they use to send email).

And Google saw the distinction of its customers after the blue mark was available in its company and after its presence on social networking sites.
