A beginner is someone who is new to something and SEO stands for search engine optimization. If this is you, here are some terms you will hear and need to familiarize yourself with.


A couple of years ago, SEO didn't even exist, so we're all beginners in some way. 

This list of terms, by no means exhaustive, is intended to be a basic introduction to the language used in SEO. At the rate the new terminology area appears, by the time you're done reading this list, someone will likely have invented a new term, but at least you'll have the basics. So let's get started.


over folded

This is derived from the reference to the top of the newspaper. The fold of the page on the Internet is used to describe the top of the page that a visitor can see without scrolling down.


AdSense

Google's contextual advertising program. Use AdSense, by placing ads on your website and earn revenue when visitors click on ads.


AdWords

Google Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising Program. Use AdWords when you want to buy an ad to send traffic somewhere.


algorithm

The algorithms and code in your blog site are complex mathematical equations. In terms of SEO, the algorithm is how search engines rank web pages in their search results. Some SEOs feel that they can figure out the algorithm, and they can get higher search engine rankings.


anchor text

Here, a specific text is in a certain color, including blue. This indicates a link to a link to another page or website that indicates it.  (Note: the link does not necessarily have to be blue or underlined but this is the traditional standard).


Backlink / Backlink

There are some keywords in the article in a different color that move to another page for you to view. Also known as internal linking.


Click rate (CTR)

It is often used in internet marketing to describe the percentage of users who click on a link or ad. If a page has 100 visitors and 12 click on the link, the page's CTR is 12%.


Anonymity

The practice that some websites use to submit one page to a search engine for indexing while submitting a completely different page to everyone else. So what a search engine sees and what you see are two different things. It should be noted that the practice of blocking can prevent your site from search engines.


conversion rate (CR)

Percentage of website visitors who provide the requested response (MWR). The commercial register is an important measure of the effectiveness of your online sales efforts. If your site sells an e-book and if 3 out of every 100 visitors buy your book, your site has 3% business history.


CPC

cost per click. The cost of advertising campaigns defines the resulting number divided by individual visitors.


CPM

CPM (M = Roman numeral for 1000). Pricing system is often used in the advertising industry.

broken link

A link to a page no longer exists or has been moved to a different URL. The World Wide Web, in cooperation with search engines, always removes dead links.


deep tie

The practice of linking to the internal pages of another website - rather than linking to the home page.


Google bomb / Google bomb

The practice of using anchor text to create a page that appears in search engine results pages (SERPs) under keywords outside the context of that page. Google is always working to prevent these practices.


hand submission

The practice of visiting every search engine and directory and submitting the registration form manually rather than using a software program. Some systems will not accept automated requests. Like manual submission.


Title tag

The HTML tag is represented by, etc., by an H6. These tags indicate the text size with H1 being the largest. Title tags may have importance in SEO as search engines emerge to assign more importance to keywords within title tags.



hidden text

Texts on web pages are not visible to human visitors, only visible to spiders. The goal is to load the page with keywords without hindering the visitor's experience. This is mostly done by making the text a color as a background. Various search engines can detect hidden text and considered spam. Pages with hidden text are penalized or even crossed off the list.


He hits

One hit is one request for a file on the web server. A visitor who opens a page with 3 images will generate 4 results in the process.


hot hook

display exerciseg images files, video files etc. A website is usually on servers and other files are for people. Sites actively and continuously display content that uses someone else's domain. Quick links are considered unsafe links because they do not depend on prior permission.


HTML

The popular language or the popular text language is the markup language and is considered the main language used to write websites, and this language consists of signs.


HTTP

They are the most popular around the world and the easiest to use and communicate between pages, servers, and algorithms.
