Al-Hilal Saudi Club receives its counterpart, Urawa

Al-Hilal Saudi Club will receive its Japanese counterpart, Urawa Red Diamonds, in the first leg of the 2022 AFC Champions League final, on the grounds of King Fahd International Stadium, on Saturday evening.

This will be the third final between the two clubs in the Asian (Championship) competition, as they previously met together in the closing scene on two occasions during the years 2017 and 2019, and the Japanese team won the first and lost the second in favor of the “Crescent Blue”.

Ramon Diaz, coach of Al Hilal club, aspires to rehabilitate Urawa Red Diamonds, as he has a sad memory of the Japanese team after losing the title to him in 2017, on the aggregate of the home and away matches 1/2.

The “Crescent Blue” had repaid the debt to Urawa Red Diamonds, after defeating it in the 2019 final, with a total of 0/3, but the Argentine coach was then outside the walls of the Saudi club.

Al-Hilal Club is looking for a historic achievement by winning the fifth title in the continental championship, as it has previously won gold 4 times in various championship titles.

Expectations differ about the outcome of the match, as some believe that the experience of “Al-Azraq Al-Hilal” will help him to settle the first leg and enter the return match, which is scheduled in Japan, comfortably, while others believe that the team will suffer in front of its competitor, due to the fluctuation of its results in the Saudi League, so what do you think?
